Ever thought about teaching in a Blackpool School?

Let the children explain why you should.

Who are we?

Blackpool Sea View Trust School Direct ITT (BSVT) are leading the way for school-led Initial Teacher Education in Blackpool. The BSVT was founded by a group of schools in Blackpool who have a passion for training and recruiting future Blackpool teachers. BSVT is founded on a belief that high quality teaching and learning can overcome disadvantage and promote high standards in even the most challenging of schools. BSVT has been developed to promote high standards in all schools whether they be Primary, Secondary or Specialist settings. We have a large number of Schools in Blackpool supporting our School Direct Programme including 6 schools for children with additional needs; Park Community Academy, Woodlands Special School, Great Arley School, Highfurlong School, Pear Tree School and Hillside Specialist School and College.

Why train with us?

Blackpool is a rewarding yet challenging place to teach. Our vision is to train the next generation of outstanding Blackpool teachers to give the children of Blackpool the best possible start in life. BSVT has a long history of initial teacher training, we first began this journey in 2016 as a School Direct Provider. As of September 2024 we will be delivering training in partnership with Embrace SCITT who are a school-led consortium of teacher training providers and experts from across Lancashire and the North West, working as one to train exceptional teachers in the Primary, Secondary and Special sectors. Together we have designed the most up to date ITT curriculum that has been written by local experts. With over 30 years combined experience we pride ourselves in delivering a nationally recognised and robust curriculum that is expertly adapted to reflect the merits and challenges of Blackpool.
